Mechanical Engineer Generalist - Senior Position - Calgary, AB

We are seeking Senior Mechanical Engineers for our Mechanical Engineering Department located in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will report to the Lead Mechanical Engineer, working closely with peers on Oil and Gas facilities - primarily in the Province of Alberta.

Responsibilities:

• Equipment requisition, bid package preparation / bid tabulation, evaluation, and procurement liaison (experience with packaged equipment in heavy oil projects static & rotating equipment would be an asset).
• Review of all equipment drawings, P&IDs and general arrangement drawings from a mechanical standpoint.
• Provide technical expertise to select, recommend equipment, vendor liaison, installation, and construction support to all mechanical equipment.
• Design specification of mechanical systems and materials.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering (Process / Mechanical) with a P. Eng.
• At least 5-10 years of accomplished experience in facilities engineering and design in the Oil & Gas industry.  Qualified candidates with less experience may also apply and will be considered for other positions.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and CAD support.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, working well within a small but dynamic team environment, interfacing on a Professional level with all co-workers.
• Practical experience on-site with commissioning and start-up is an asset.
• Experience working on SAGD projects is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
